Classes
Functional Methods (FM)
A foundational osteopathic system for structured assessment and treatment to improve clinical precision and whole-body outcomes.
Focus: A repeatable framework for identifying where treatment will create the most effective change.
Highlights:
- 19 assessment + 24 treatment methods
- Whole-body clinical decision structure
- Multi-module training with integration periods
Foundational training for manual therapy clinicians building advanced skill integration.
Best for: clinicians seeking greater diagnostic clarity and treatment precision
Visceral Work (VW)
A clinical approach to internal organ mobility and its relationship to musculoskeletal and systemic dysfunction.
Focus: Organ structure, mobility, and functional influence on pain and restriction patterns.
Highlights:
- Organ anatomy, glide, and suspensory systems
- Embryology-informed structural relationships
- Visceral contribution to musculoskeletal symptoms
Four-module progressive training with optional advanced extension
✔ Best for: clinicians working with complex or unresolved symptom presentations

Joints, Bursae & Tendons (JBT)
A precision-based manual therapy system for restoring synovial mobility across joints, bursae, and tendons.
Focus: Identification and release of mechanical restrictions affecting movement efficiency.
Highlights:
- Millimeter-level mobility assessment
- Joint, bursa, and tendon restriction release
- Improved range of motion and ease of movement
Offered as intro course or full 3-module series
✔ Best for: clinicians wanting immediately applicable hands-on tools

Pulmonary Rehabilitation (PR)
A focused clinical course improving respiratory function through structural and manual therapy approaches.
Focus: Lung mechanics, thoracic container dynamics, and breathing efficiency.
Highlights:
- Lung and thoracic mobility work
- Improved depth and ease of breath
- Internal + structural integration
Overlaps with VM-4 thoracic training
✔ Best for: clinicians treating respiratory or thoracic restriction patterns

All About Hands (AAH)
A focused course on restoring mobility, coordination, and function in the hand and wrist.
Focus: Integrated treatment of joints, nerves, vasculature, and soft tissue structures.
Highlights:
- Hand and wrist mechanics
- Neural + vascular pathway integration
- Functional upper limb improvement
Often produces improvements extending into the shoulder
✔ Best for: clinicians working with upper limb dysfunction
Not sure if this overlaps with JBT-1 for your training path? Ask us →
All About Feet (AAF)
A targeted course improving mobility, balance, and function of the foot and ankle.
Focus: Structural, neural, and vascular influences on gait and stability.
Highlights:
- Foot and ankle mobility restoration
- Neural + vascular integration
- Improved balance and movement efficiency
Strong effects on full lower kinetic chain
✔ Best for: clinicians treating gait or lower limb dysfunction

Manual Therapy for the Head and Neck
A structural approach to head and neck anatomy and treatment integrating multiple cranial perspectives.
Focus: Bones, nerves, vasculature, and fascial continuity from thorax to cranium.
Highlights:
- Cranial nerves and meninges
- Vascular pathways from heart to head
- Full structural continuity approach
Strong foundation for advanced cranial or structural work
✔ Best for: clinicians working with complex head/neck presentations

Manual Therapy for Nerves and Blood Vessels
A four-day class introducing gentle and effective methods to restore the mobility of nerves and blood vessels.
Learn assessment and treatment methods to restore the elasticity of the nerves and blood vessels, and their ability to glide freely through neighboring tissues.
Restoring the span and elasticity of nerves and blood vessels makes remarkable improvement in mobility of the body as a whole. The single most common reason for a muscle to appear chronically tight is stiffness in the nerve or artery to the muscle. This neuro-vascular tension pulls on the muscle, making the muscle appear tight. Releasing the nerve and/or vascular stiffness promptly restores muscle length.
Release of nerves is accomplished with a long lever method, restoring the mobility of each nerve without touching it directly, thereby increasing safety.

My recommendation for Jeff Burch as a teacher:
Mentorships
Jeffrey offers mentoring opportunities for health care professionals and Rolfers™.
For all Health Care Professionals
For practitioners and advanced students of Structural Integration, Visceral Manipulation or Cranial Manipulation mentoring is offered. One on one time with Jeffrey is a powerful way to enhance skills. Mentoring may include shadowing Jeffrey in his office, individually supervised sessions, four handed sessions, guided study. Mentees must be currently licensed and insured as a health care professional.
For Rolfers™
Jeffrey is a Dr. Ida Rolf Institute approved mentor. The Dr. Ida Rolf Institute® members earn continuing education credit prerequisite to the Rolfing® advanced training. Contact Jeffrey to discuss possibilities.
Praise for Jeffrey’s work: He really knows his stuff
