[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Clients frequently ask if my office can bill their insurance. The answer is no, however we can help you in seeking reimbursement from your insurance company. Here is why and how we can assist you:
In the effort to keep administrative costs down and to help the client maximize the amount of coverage they may have, we have chosen to provide Statement Receipts for clients to submit to their insurance company for reimbursement. This will use less of your benefits than direct billing and is at no extra cost. You may request a Statement Receipt at any time. Since the requirements vary between different insurance plans, we do not supply copies of chart notes/records as part of the Statement Receipt service. If chart notes are required by your plan, please contact us for the process & fee structure.
When an insurance policy offers coverage for the services we provide, they almost always require a physician referral. Be sure to confirm this requirement, and any other requirements your insurance may have in advance. Also enquire as to how much coverage the Insurance will reimburse – often times, insurance will payout for a percentage of the amount and typically, they determine what the fee rate amount will be; it is not necessarily the fee that was paid at the time of service.
Many clients who come to my practice have pretax health plans (Health Spending Accounts – HSA) through employers such as Manley; these plans will usually reimburse you for my services, however we recommend you contact your HSA representative to learn if they have any requirements that need to be followed – such as having a physician referral in place prior to starting treatment. To use these plans you will pay at the time of service and we will provide a detailed statement receipt for you to use in seeking reimbursement from the HSA plan.
Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions about using insurance.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
